FCCB #31- On the Wall

I was so happy to see this challenge over at FCCB. This project had been "in progress" for a while now. I lost my poor kitty Ashes to cancer in 2007. When she was so sick and it was time for her to go, her vet was so caring. They gave us a momento box with her collar and a small paper mache box with her paw imprint in clay. We thought this was so sweet. I always knew I wanted to display it. I made this shadow box to honor her memory. I used the Storybook cartridge to cut her name. The Home Accents cartridge for the plaque I mounted her name to. Then because the background paper I used had butterflies, I cut some butterflies with the Create a Critter cartrige. Let me know what you think.

  1. so sweet, I keep a photo of my first dog by my bed. Its so hard they become part of the family. Great job on this!

  2. This is just wonderful! I'm so sorry that you lost your precious little Ashes. How kind and thoughtful of the vet to provide the shadow box and items. I'm so thrilled you were able to put it all together. It's fantastic!
Thanks so much for playing along at FCCB!
PS I'm currently reading "Casper the Commuting Cat" - a true story. As a cat lover, you might enjoy it too!
